MISSION

I'm doing something a little wild and unconventional to turn my dreams of making meaningful films into a reality… Asking you for help.

I am currently raising an additional $22k of $11k already raised to direct my short film WALL in January! WALL is an award-winning script I wrote about a lonely young woman who moves into a crap apartment to be closer to her new love interest: a wall.

Overall, I am trying to raise $130k for 3 short films that I will direct from award-winning scripts that I wrote. That’s 1 whole hour of content for $130k - not too shabby!

Hi, I'm Erin Cantelo!

I am partnering with Production Designer Jason Kisvarday (Everything Everywhere All at Once) and a team of crew I have met over my 15 years of working on set in production in order to bring these short films to life.

Every single penny donated goes straight to the production budgets including gear rentals, crew wages, editing and post-production, etc.

ABOUT ME

I have been working in the film industry in many capacities for over 15 years. I worked as a stand-in for 5 years as a way to learn from the best of the best directors and actors in the industry as well as write in my downtime on set. Most recently I spent 6 months on Zack Snyder's epic sci-fi films, REBEL MOON part 1 and 2.

In 2023 I won 1st place in two screenwriting competitions with two of my short scripts, WALL and LOUELLA, and I was a finalist in the ScreenCraft Screenplay Competition with my short THE LONGEST WALK. I graduated from film school with honors from Columbia College Chicago.

I love making meaningful films about people healing their own trauma with the aim to break your heart wide open.
